biography

Kennedy Maya Rose is an associate in the firm’s Baton Rouge office, where her primary practice is the representation of insurance clients in homeowners’ coverage, personal injury, and bad faith issues. She is a native of New Iberia, Louisiana and relocated to Baton Rouge to attend Louisiana State University (LSU). After graduating from LSU in 2018 with a B.A. in Mass Communication, concentrating in Public Relations, and a minor degree in Business Administration, she received her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in 2021. During law school, Kennedy was a member of Women in Law, Sports and Entertainment Legal Association, and Black Law Students Association. Kennedy is a certified mediator. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Proir to joining the firm as an associate, Kennedy served as a law clerk for both the Baton Rouge and New Orleans offices. She also spent a year clerking for a plaintiff personal injury firm. Throughout her education, Kennedy has been employed at the 16th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, LSU Football in the Recruiting Department, and the Department of Justice Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Office.

When she is not practicing law, Kennedy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and traveling.
