Davis R. Peltier

biography

Davis Ragland Peltier is an associate at the firm’s Lafayette office. Davis obtained a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Louisiana State University in 2015. He then earned his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in 2019 where he graduated cum laude. During law school, Davis interned for a general litigation firm, District Attorney’s office, and the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington D.C. After graduating law school, Davis served as a law clerk at the 17th Judicial District Court in Thibodaux. Davis joined the firm in 2019 at the firm’s Thibodaux office before moving to Lafayette with his wife, Regan, and son, Henry.

Davis’s current practice includes the defense of insurance companies in personal injury actions, hurricane litigation, property damage claims, and extra contractual cases. He has defended insurance companies and their insureds in several state district courts and has successfully argued insurance related issues on appeal before the First, Fourth, and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeal.

Davis is admitted to the Louisiana State Bar, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.
