Jim Nieset is a partner in the firm’s New Orleans office. He joined the firm in 1996. His practice includes the defense of insurance companies in automobile, premises liability and products liability cases. He has successfully tried cases in state and federal courts throughout Louisiana. He has argued cases in the Louisiana Third, Fourth and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeal and at the Louisiana Supreme Court.  Mr. Nieset has been significantly involved in the defense of insurance companies in the wake of Hurricane Katrina since shortly after the storm. He has provided coverage analysis, and tried and mediated several Katrina related case. He is a presenter at the Tulane Law School Professionalism Orientation Seminar.  Mr. Nieset and his wife have two children.
