Michael Fitzpatrick has been a partner in the firm’s New Orleans office since 1980. He served as law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge James A. Comiskey. His trial experience in Louisiana state and federal courts is in the fields of insurance defense, including first party claims, arson, and various types of insurance fraud. He is counsel to several volunteer fire departments.

Mr. Fitzpatrick is the author of "Discovery Strategy of the Insurer or the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime in Litigating the Civil Arson Case: Winning Without Getting Burned," American Bar Association Section of Tort and Insurance Practice and Division for Professional Education, 1993.
