Gordon Guthrie is an associate in the New Orleans office. He received his Juris Doctor (cum laude) and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University in 2012, and his Bachelor of Arts from Emory University in 2008.

Gordon’s practice area includes Insurance Defense, Premises Liability, Bad Faith/Extra-Contractual Cases, Non-Profit Law, Maritime/Admiralty, Small Business Law, and Family Law. He serves as an advisor to a number non-profit organizations within and outside Louisiana.

As a law student, Gordon was Articles Editor of the Louisiana Law Review and served on the Moot Court Board as well as the Chancellor’s Advisory Board.
Gordon clerked for Judge Guy P. Holdridge of the 23rd Judicial District Court and externed for Judge James Brady of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana. As a law clerk, Gordon participated in numerous trials, hearings and conferences. He has been involved with several Louisiana Law Institute projects, including the crafting of proposed legislation for an expedited jury trial procedure.
